A physician's order is required for these sessions, and Medicare, Medicaid, and most insurance companies will cover them. However, some insurance companies may require pre-certification or pre-authorization. Contact the Nurse Educator at 765-453-8369 for questions you may have about insurance coverage. Self-pay is also accepted, and a payment schedule may be arranged by contacting the Patient Finance department at 765-453-8422.
A Diabetes Education Series is offered quarterly. Additionally, special programs for children with diabetes will be held periodically. Guest speakers will cover various topics, for example, information on the latest diabetes supplies, equipment and medications with treatment options, just to name a few. Dates and times for these programs will be announced via the local media, or you may call 765-453-8369 for further information.
